Every summer we take a team to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. On this trip we work with an organization called Torch Missions. During our trip we build houses, deliver food bags, visit orphanages, work with local churches,
visit the hospitals, and much more.

Every two or three years, Homewood sends a team to visit our missionary families in Africa to offer encouragement and support for the work they are doing. In June of 2016 a team of 17 visited the Miller family in Rwanda. While there the team enjoyed participating in authentic "African daily life" experiences, English teaching classes and children's day camp, Perhaps the most enjoyable portions of the trip were meeting the friends and neighbors of the Millers and forming our own individual relationships with them.
Matt and Andrea are both graduates from Harding University and have been on the mission field for over 16 years. They have four children; Abby, Aidan, Asher and AnnaMarie.
They are blessed to have been able to live and work in Togo, West Africa for over 11 years. In January 2012 they moved to join God in what He is doing in Rwanda, East Africa. Their passion is to train and equip disciples to follow Christ in obedience. They have opened Virunga Valley Academy, an international school in Rhuengeri, Rwanda. Matt serves as the director of the school and Andrea teaches at the school. They partner with ATN (Africa Transformation Network) in Rwanda, a christian organization committed to community transformation in Africa through discipleship, partnership, service and development.
