OUR HISTORY
SERVING HOMEWOOD SINCE 1951
The Homewood congregation met for the first time in a small brick-veneer building in September, 1951. According to early records, there were 62 members by September, 1952. In 1955 a larger facility was built on Central Avenue in Homewood and the congregation stayed there until moving to a new facility (which is now the Homewood City Library) in 1976. Our faith family moved into its current location on West Oxmoor Road in October, 1986.
We believe God has uniquely positioned our gathering location for local outreach and called us to run with the message of Jesus both locally and globally. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to participate in God's story with passion!
