FAITH@HOME
WHAT IS FAITH@HOME
Homewood Church of Christ is dedicated to walking alongside parents as they lead their children on a spiritual path. Faith@Home is designed to help parents as they navigate through crucial high points of their child's life.
We believe the greatest gift a church can give a family is the encouragement and resources to help raise a child in a Christian home.
Our children's ministry and student ministry are a major part in a child's spiritual walk while they are at Homewood, but we in no way plan on replacing the role of the spiritual leader. God's plan from the beginning has been for parents to be the spiritual leaders at home by first loving God and then impressing this love on the hearts of their children.
"HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH. THESE COMMANDMENTS THAT I GIVE YOU TODAY ARE TO BE ON YOUR HEARTS. IMPRESS THEM ON YOUR CHILDREN. TALK ABOUT THEM WHEN YOU SIT AT HOME AND WHEN YOU WALK ALONG THE ROAD, WHEN YOU LIE DOWN AND WHEN YOU GET UP. TIE THEM AS SYMBOLS ON YOUR HANDS AND BIND THEM ON YOUR FOREHEADS. WRITE THEM ON THE DOORFRAMES OF YOUR HOUSES AND ON YOUR GATES.
DEUTERONOMY 6:4-9
WHAT ARE HIGHPOINTS?
As any parent knows, there are many significant life events or Highpoint a child will go through in his/her life. With each highpoint we focus on how we can help parents impress on their child a foundation of faith that will last them a lifetime.
We offer classes that will coincide with the age of the students and provide resources to go along with the classes. Our prayer is that the parents will gain the calling and confidence to take the reins as the spiritual leaders of their children, and lean on the church for resources and help.

We know that technology can be an exciting and scary time as you are raising your children. We don't have all the answers, but we have some. Below are the links to PDFs of Joseph's Sunday Morning Class, and the presentation he did in our Lunch & Learn. Enjoy!
