Dates of the trip:  May 31st - June 11th  (Still working on concrete dates, due to airfare, but it will be within these dates.) 

Who can go: This trip is open to the entire church!!!  Students not in high school are required to have a parent or guardian go with them. 

Cost of the trip: $1,500   All money is nonrefundable. This covers lodging, airfare, transportation, and two meals a day. 

Important Dates: Feb. 11th - $500 due with applications.

                            March 3rd - Yard Sale.

                            May 6th - Final Mandatory Meeting after Sunday class. 

                            May 13th - Remaining $1,000 due. 

Wo we partner with: We work with an organization called Torch Missions. They coordinate all of our service opportunities, housing, and transportation while in Honduras. 

Fundraising: All of the money raised during our yard sale goes towards our "building" fund to build as many houses as possible in Honduras. The most common way to raise money to help pay for your trip is to write letters asking for donations. You can ask friends and family to donate to your trip. If they would like to mail the check directly to Homewood, make sure they clearly mark it as a donation for you. 

Where we stay: We stay at Villa Gracia retreat center in El Hatillo, just outside of Tegucigalpa. All married couples or families room together, but may have to share a room with other couples. Students room together in bunk style rooms. 

Passport: Get your passport NOW it is expired. If your passport is 6 months away from expiring, they require you to have to renew it before you travel. You need your passport renewed by Feb. 11th when you turn in your application.
